To exchange the latest research progress in laser microvibration testing, discuss current technological challenges and development bottlenecks, showcase innovative technical solutions and successful application cases, and promote in-depth collaboration and coordinated innovation among industry, academia, research institutions, and end-users, the 2025 Symposium on Laser Measurement of MicroVibration (2025 SLMMV) was successfully held at Ningbo University, Zhejiang Province, from December 19 to 21, 2025.

The 2025 SLMMV was jointly sponsored by many professional societies including the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, Zhejiang Society of Vibration Engineering, Zhejiang-Italy International Joint Laboratory on Smart Materials and Advanced Structures, Piezoelectric Device Laboratory of Ningbo University, and supported by Zhejiang SunnyInnovation Optical Intelligence Co., Ltd. Professor Tingfeng Ma from Ningbo University served as the Conference Chair.

Over 100 participants, including experts, scholars, researchers, engineers, faculty and students, and corporate representatives engaged in the research, development, and application of laser microvibration measurement technology, gathered in Ningbo University. They discussed cutting-edge developments, innovative applications, and future trends in this field, exchanged the latest research findings, explored technical challenges and solutions, experienced advanced instrumentation, and discussed opportunities for deeper collaboration.
The opening ceremony was held on the morning of December 20 in the Ningbo University Hotel, chaired by Professor Huang Bin, Chairman of the Engineering Mechanics Department.

The guest speakers of the opening session include:
- Zhiteng Wang, Representative ofthe School of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics, Ningbo University

- Professor Bo Tang, Vice Chairman of the Zhejiang Society of Vibration Engineering

- Professor Ji Wang from Ningbo University, founder and initiator of the symposium series

- Miaojun Wang, General Manager of SunnyInnovation

- Professor Tingfeng Ma from Ningbo University, Chair of the symposium

In his opening remarks, Professor Tingfeng Ma emphasized the critical role of laser microvibration measurement technology in strategic fields such as precision manufacturing, aerospace, and new-generation information technology. He stated that the symposium aims to build an effective communication platform for stakeholders to share advanced technologies, exchange experiences, foster win-win cooperation, and propel China's laser microvibration measurement technology to new heights.
Distinguished guests attending the symposium included Professor Chuanzeng Zhang of Ningbo University, Professor Guoliang Huang of Peking University, Professor Biao Wang of Ningbo University, and Professor Zenghui Wang of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.

Following the opening ceremony, a series of professional and insightful keynote presentations were delivered by:

As the leading manufacturer of laser Doppler vibrometers in Ningbo, SunnyInnovation has actively partnered with universities through various initiatives, including joint labs, student demonstrations, sponsored research programs, and conference collaborations.

The Symposium on Laser Micro-Vibration Testing (SLMMV) traces its origins to 2019, when the inaugural event brought together researchers and engineers from across the country.
With SunnyInnovation's rapid growth in both products and technology, we envision the symposium evolving into a dynamic platform that bridges our innovations with real-world research and applications.

This forum will facilitate discussions on the latest research findings and practical insights, helping refine our products and user guides, while also gathering valuable feedback to inform future development.
By convening a nationwide community of professionals passionate about laser Doppler vibrometer technology, the symposium aims to advance both the development and application of this specialized—yet widely adopted—technology.
